Hurricane Damage

Hurricane & Wind Storm Damage

Natural disasters can turn our lives upside down, and as homeowners that spells impending property losses. These detriments sometimes amount to thousands or even millions of dollars. A public adjuster for hurricane and wind damage can be there to advocate for you and your property to reclaim the funds you need to fix, repair and replace damages in your home.

Flood

Flood Damage

Because it is the most common type of property damage present throughout the whole United States, water damage public adjusters are there to work alongside victims of these losses. Water damage can make your home inhabitable; it may destroy all of one’s belongings. The presence of water damage can leave underlying issues such as mold that can cause future health problems. Once an individual has suffered from water damage, it is critical that they contact an experienced water damage public adjuster that will be able to assess the full scope of their losses and even see if there are any underlying dangers present in their homes.

Fire

Fire & Smoke Damage

If fire damages your home, the insurance claim process can be one of the most severe and long types of property loss to sift through. While it may seem like the most straightforward way go with your insurance company’s claims adjuster recommendation, doing so usually leads to a delayed settlement, underpaid settlements, and insufficient options for repairs to your property. Many homeowners willingly accept what the insurance company tells them, even though they are not experienced, and/or knowledgeable in all the steps, terms, and jargon that are used in the insurance industry.

Water Damage Repair

Mold Damage

In the past, mold damage insurance claims were covered under most home insurance when it resulted from a covered peril, such as a sudden plumbing leak, fire control, storm or other cause covered under your policy. Concerns have increased due to public knowledge and scientific knowledge about mold and the health-related severe hazards carried with it. The clean-up, removal, and remediation are costly and hazardous to the person completing them. In response to the public concerns, insurance carriers are removing such coverage from their policy forms regardless if the result is a covered peril. In many instances, the insurance companies offer a limited coverage for mold/fungus for additional premiums and fees.

Tiling a Roof

Roof Damage

Finding out your roof needs to be repaired or replaced can be troubling for many homeowners. Dealing with the insurance company claim, talking to adjusters and making sure you get compensated for all covered damages is a daunting process. Many homeowners are just unsure of how to even begin to file a claim.

Fixing the Lock

Theft & Vandalism

The majority of processes in adjusting theft and vandalism damage claims are much like that of other loses, there are specific points of this claim that require close attention and knowledge. Frequent questions posed by insurance companies after they receive a theft/vandalism claim are: Did a theft or vandalism occur? Did the homeowner own the items claimed stolen, and if so, can they prove it? What is the actual cost of the belongings? Was there any exterior damage, ie. windows doors, etc.? In retrospect to theft and vandalism claims, most are accompanied by official police reports which documented the event. The statement will help verify what you have told your insurance company to ensure it is valid and factual. It is imperative that the police report is given fully and truthfully. Make sure your police report has all your possessions listed and any damage sustained on the report.
